Los Angeles’s beloved downtown grassroots LGBTQ+ festival returned to Pershing Square on the last weekend of August 2021. Catch all the action here with these great photos from Lorenzo Gomez. Proof of vaccination was required.
Friday evening festivities included all-ages entertainment plus a special screening of the full-length documentary, PROUD in a Pandemic.
Saturday and Sunday turned up the heat and featured a diverse array of stage performances, DJs, local bars, community booths, art installations, LGBTQ+ vendors, food trucks and everyone’s favorite pop-up waterpark dance party, Summertramp.
DTLA Proud. By the community, for the community.
Proceeds from the festival will help build the DTLA PROUD Community Center.
Thanks to our man on the street, photographer Lorenzo Gomez for the proud and sexy photos.
