The Queer Joy of New Orleans' Southern Decadence in 30 Photos

Happy 50th Southern Decadence!

The queer Labor Day party in New Orleans was started in 1972 by a group of gay friends, but has grown to become a regional celebration of LGBTQ+ joy and resilence. To honor Southern Decadence's half a century we look back at some of its more recent parades.
