The sidewalks of New York took on a celebratory mood as JECT held a Pride Mini Block Party outside their West Village location to support the work of The Ali Forney Center in transforming the lives of LGBTQ+ youth. Hosted by Rob Morean, the outdoor event took place Saturday, June 12, and featured performances by Jessica Vosk (Elphaba in Wicked, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat), Max Von Essen (Tony Nominated for American in Paris, Les Mis), and Chris Jarosz (La La Land) among others. There was plenty of singing, dancing, and even some upside-down gymantics that brought the crowd to its feet.
Guests were treated to exclusive offers as well as complimentary mini-infusion facials, and raffle tickets were sold for a chance to win a $5,000 JECT credit, with all proceeds going to The Ali Forney Center. In other words, it was a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon while supporting an important cause.
