We don't want to assume Scotland is behind the U.S. when it comes to technology and self-awareness, but this advert has us wondering. Thorne Travel is a travel agency in the U.K. (yup, they still exist) that recently created a commercial spoofing Virgin Airlines' advertisements. The results are more cringe-worthy than convincing (see below, via Buzzfeed). But no matter: bookings are up 110 percent after the commercial went viral, with over 800,000 views as of mid-October. Maybe they knew what they were doing after all.
