Justin Trudeau Marches in Toronto Pride, Global LGBTQ Community Swoons

While Donald Trump refuses to uphold a the years-long tradition of recognizing June as LGBTQ Pride Month, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is on the ground with the people he serves and spent a part of his weekend walking in Toronto’s Pride parade.
“Love is love,” he tweeted, with the hashtag “#PrideTO.”
Though Barack Obama never marched in a Pride parade while he held presidential office, his support for the LGBTQ community was unquestionable. He announced in 2012 that he was in favor of same-sex marriage, and stated that the Supreme Court made the correct decision when they ruled in favor of nationwide marriage equality.
