If you've never heard of Stockholm's Pink Christmas, it's like a winter Pride celebration, with parties, concerts, lectures, and the crowning of a "Pink Lucia."
Pink Christmas Week happens from December 9 - 15 in gay-friendly Stockholm. Aside from the added parties and gatherings, special Christmas markets and "pink offerings" at LGBT bars and clubs make up the week. The crowning of Lucia, or St.Lucia, is an annual Swedish tradition, but it gets a gay twist during Pink Week when a "Pink Lucia" is crowned, followed by a procession through the city.
Stockholm tourism officials are throwing a social media contest with a chance to win a free trip to their city. Click here for more info and to enter.
