The artist's new establishment draws attention to the Israeli/Palestinian conflict.
After months of social media silence, Banksy has opened a new hotel in Bethlehem. The notorious street artist follows the success of his 2015 theme park, Dismaland with the Walled Off Hotel.
Located just along the border wall separating Israel and Palestine, the hotel offers ten rooms, featuring some of the artist’s new work. Aiming to draw awareness to the Israeli/Palestinian conflict, it also strives to bring tourism and jobs to the area. Located in an area under Israeli control, the establishment hopes to attract young Israelis while hosting exhibitions of various Palestinian artists.
