Real Housewives of Miami's Julia Lemigove on the Magic City

The out star reveals her hidden treats in Miami.

Julia Lemigova made history late last year when she became the first out full-time cast member of Bravo’s Real Housewives franchise, starring alongside women like best friend Adriana de Moura, on The Real Housewives of Miami. The model, actress, beauty entrepreneur, and former pageant queen — she was named Miss USSR in 1990 — has called many places home: Moscow, Paris, London, and now, Miami. Married to tennis icon Martina Navratilova, with whom she’s raising two daughters (and many goats and chickens) on their Florida farm, Lemigova still finds time to frequent Miami’s innumerable hotspots. Here are her favorites, in her own words:

Superblue Miami is Miami’s newest immersive art experience. The museum supports the most innovative artists and the exhibits provide a multi-sensory experience. Superblue Miami is a wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon. (www.superblue.com/miami/)

Coconut Grove Organic Farmers Market is an amazing place to shop with its variety of organic fresh fruits and vegetables. The Saturday market also offers stands with authentic boho chic items, such as handmade soaps, clothing, and many vegan and organic products. (glaserorganicfarms.com)

My secret spot for Japanese cuisine is Marumi Sushi in Plantation, which is not too far from Miami and well worth the trip. They offer authentic, fresh, traditional food and drinks in a relaxed, cozy atmosphere. (www.marumisushi.com)

The Bazaar Project is a unique gift shop located in the heart of Coconut Grove. You can find wonderful decor pieces, fine jewelry, and apparel, as well as dine at its charming café. (thebazaarproject.com)

Doma is one of my favorite Italian restaurants. It is a neighborhood restaurant located in the beautiful Wynwood Arts District, featuring Mediterranean-inspired southern Italian cuisine. (domawynwood.com)

Cauley Square

Cauley Square

Cauley Square Historic Village is a historic tree-lined railroad town established in 1903. Today, this charming village offers antique shops, a beauty spa, scented apothecary, restaurants, and a tearoom all nestled among large trees and tropical foliage. It’s a relaxing spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. (www.cauleysquare.com)
