Sydney Mardi Gras Parade will return for 2023 in all its former gay glory after a two-year hiatus. The annual event, the largest Pride celebration in Oceania, had been switched to a stadium format in response to health and safety issues recently. But the hundreds of thousands of revelers expected to descend upon the capital of New South Wales this year will be able to celebrate the famed Mardi Gras with a return of the parade down Oxford Street.

Next year, Sydney Mardi Gras will take place along with Sydney WorldPride 2023. Sydney WorldPride takes place February 17 through March 5, 2023, and tickets go on sale to the general public at 9am on Friday, March 15, in Australia (7pm Eastern on Thursday, March 14).
