Stockholm likes to call itself the "capital of Scandinavia," a claim to which Copenhagen and Oslo surely have some objections. But when it comes to the LGBT scene, Denmark and Norway can't hope to rival the pictureseque Swedish city's dominance.
Every year, Stockholm swells with visitors eager to take part in the region's largest LGBT celebrations. This year's Stockholm Pride, however, set a new record with more than 500,000 taking to the streets, aided in their mission to illuminate the city with glitter and rhinestones by a brilliantly sunny day and the neverending maze of crystal-clear canals.
