Equal Entertainment has purchased Pride Media to form a new company now known as Equal Pride.

The parent company of Out Traveler Magazine, Pride Media, has officially been acquired by Equal Entertainment.

The new company — now known as Equal Pride — is the largest LGBTQ+ owned and operated media company in the United States and operates Out Traveler as well as its sister publications The Advocate, Out, PRIDE, and Plus. The official announcement was made on Tuesday, June 21.

Equal Pride's Chief Executive Officer, Mark Berryhill, wrote in a statement:

“Our combined company will be the premier home for LGBTQ+ people – and increasingly women and people of color creators, storytellers, journalists, and businesspeople who want to have an impact through their work with one of the most diverse group of media and digital brands in the world.”

One of the main goals of the newly-rebranded Equal Pride is to “include expansion plans that will serve a broader range of diverse audiences.” The queer-owned company will also operate the popular LGBTQ&A podcast and the Celebrity Page brand, which includes CelebrityPage.com.

Equal Pride will be run by CEO Mark Berryhill, with Michael Kelley joining as President of Global Growth and Development, Partner. Moreover, Pride Media’s first female CEO, Diane Anderson-Minshall, will now act as President & Global Chief Content Officer of Equal Pride.
