Modernism Week in Palm Springs Hosts Auction

Modernism Week, the Palm Springs festival celebrating midcentury architecture and design, is hosting an online “Best of Modernism” auction from December 3 through 11.

Auction items include a tour of the High Desert House in Joshua Tree; a wine and cheese reception for six at the Frey House II; and an overnight stay for two at the Smoke Tree Ranch, including two VIP tickets to see jazz vocalist Samara Joy.

Also on the auction block is an overnight stay for four at Frank Sinatra’s two-bedroom mountain hideaway, Villa Maggio; and a VIP experience for two at Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin West in Scottsdale, AZ.

Bidders can also vie for a four-night Modernism Week opening weekend package, including accommodations at the Rowan Kimpton Hotel or Ace Hotel, and two tickets each to opening night, parties at the Sinatra House and Shag House, architectural tours, and Lynda Kay’s keynote presentation and cocktail reception.

There is also a two-night midweek package, including accommodations at the Del Marcos Hotel, two tickets to the O’Donnell House/Soho House cocktail reception, two tickets to the “Las Casas Romantica” tour, and dinner for two at Azucar.
