Talk about a mile-high club!
On the first-ever Virgin Australia Pride Flight from Brisbane to Sydney, Chris Lai proposed to his boyfriend Cedric Thiery 40,000+ feet in the air.
"On my 110th Virgin Australia flight and my first ever Pride Flight, I only have one question for you, Cedric," said Lai over the flight's loudspeaker. He then pulled up his rainbow mask, walked down the aisle, got down on one knee, and popped the question.
Thiery quickly said yes. "When they announced a special announcement for Chris by Cedric, I kinda started to get an idea of what was going on maybe," he smiled.
The other 120 passengers, many of whom were also wearing rainbow-colored decor, cheered as the men kissed through their masks.
Lai always wanted to propose to Thiery on a plane because the two have a "passion in flying and sky is home for me."
It seems Virgin Australia is also taking care of the couple's honeymoon, which Lai happily says will be on Haymen Island.
Congrats to the happy couple!
