It started with a blog: photographer Brandon Stanton launched HumansofNewYork.com in 2010, capturing New York natives in their natural habitat. The photojournalist set his lens on people strolling, running, kissing, fighting, and simply living in one of the world's most thrilling metropolises. Last month, 400 of his best photos was released in Humans of New York (St. Martin's Press, $29.99), the blog in book form.
