When someone dies in New Orleans, the grieving process includes quite the celebration. 2016 was a year of much loss. In just the final days, we lost a few of pop culture’s most beloved names. That means some beloved lives to celebrate
One such legendary name was Carrie Fisher. A writer and actress, she was most known for her role as Princess Leia in the Star Wars movies. In a franchise that garnered quite the following, her role came with an overwhelming sense of empowerment that transcended generations.
The Star Wars themed Krewe of Chewbacchus in New Orleans recently marched in honor of Fisher. Women dressed as Princess Leia danced in the streets to say farewell to Fisher.
