Two-Minute Cinema: Jean Paul Gaultier Loves Latin America

JPG

The French designer’s latest video in his web series takes us inside the art scene of Mexico City.

Last fall, fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier took a cultural enrichment tour through Latin America. Over nine days, he visited Brazil, Argentina, and Mexico. While bringing his own beautifully eccentric world to the people of Latin America, he sought out inspiration in the many cultural traditions they proudly embrace.

The French designer’s most recent video takes us inside the colorfully aesthetic art scene of Mexico City. After taking in a lucha libre show, he caught the Ritual of the Voladores De Papantla and then exhibits at the Museo Nacional De Antropologia and the Museo De Arte Popular. Join Gaultier as he soaks in the culture of Mexico City.
