Get bent in Sin City this fall at the new Bent Inn (www.bentinn.com), the first locally owned and operated adults-only gay hotel in downtown Las Vegas.
The 33-room boutique hotel is now accepting reservations for mid-October at the creatively twisted and visually audacious property located off the Strip and just steps from the Fremont Street Experience.
Husbands and longtime hoteliers Mark Hunter and Greg Kafka developed the Bent Inn through their company, Escape Resorts. The pair had previously owned and operated Escape Resort and Desert Paradise in Palm Springs. Kafka serves as the Bent Inn’s chief experience officer, while Hunter is the chief escape officer.
“Although ‘straight friendly,’ our goal is to set the travel standard for what we call the Bent Community (the not-so-straight, nerdy cool, khakis-by-day -leather-by-night, pink hair, crew cut, black nail polish, no nail polish, nose ring, hairy, smooth, fem, masc, butch, he, she, they, them, Jack and Coke, dirty martini, daiquiri, top, btm, vers, side, switch),” explains says Kafka in a statement made available to Out Traveler.

“We are hiring exceptional staff who will help Bent Inn become a playfully welcoming place for adults where unforgettable experiences and connections are formed,” says Hunter. “Community is very important to us, and we have been fortunate to be able to cultivate that at our previous resorts.”
The Bent Inn will feature 30 luxury rooms with king-sized beds and three additional bunkhouse rooms with shared bathing facilities. There’s an expansive heated swimming pool with in-pool seating and an oversized heated outdoor spa as well. The entire property is fenced for security and privacy.
The Bent Inn gastropub will offer traditional gastropub fare with what it calls a “Bent perspective” served poolside for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and there will also be a poolside food truck.
The hotel was originally developed as the Moonlight Motel in 1965 before transitioning into an apartment complex. The property has been reimagined with what is described as a “mid-century meets industrial architecture style” and décor.

While the Bent Inn is a gay property, the owners are quick to point out it’s open to all who are looking for a place to chill authentically.
“Everyone needs a place where they are free to be themselves,” says Kafka. “And that’s Bent Inn.”
