Here are Airbnb’s top-rated LGBTQ-friendly cities by guest reviews

Airbnb, the online marketplace for short-term and long-term stays, takes pride in its visible support of the LGBTQ+ community by providing a safe space for queer travelers and Hosts to connect.
Airbnb recently analyzed Host listings and customer reviews with some totally gay results. They not only found the top 10 LGBTQ+ destinations, but also learned that inclusive language helped incentive LGBTQ+ travelers – who by the way make up a significant percentage of leisure travelers.
A recent study found that 41 percent of LGBTQ+ travel respondents identified as Airbnb users, eight percent higher than American leisure travelers overall. Airbnb also identified a 90 percent surge of Hosts using inclusive language since 2017.

Kit Williams, the acclaimed actor, filmmaker, and creator of the hit Netflix series EastSiders, and his husband John Halbach used inclusive language for their mid-century modern 1970s Joshua Tree listing, aptly named Benecia Oasis.
“When my husband and I travel we always gravitate towards Airbnb listings that use inclusive language, so when we became Airbnb Hosts ourselves, we wanted to make sure our home in Joshua Tree was a space where everyone feels welcome,” Williams told Out Traveler last year. “The fact that more and more Hosts are taking this approach is a testament to the evolving attitudes and acceptance within our global community.”
Turning its eye to travelers, Airbnb discovered inclusive language and welcoming environments made for some very positive LGBTQ+ experiences.
