The champion of the 2016 Stoli Key West Cocktail Classic shares his winning cocktail recipe.
Fifteen of the best LGBT bartenders in North America recently met in Key West for the third annual Stoli Key West Cocktail Classic. The bartending competition seeks an amazing mixologist with an innivative cocktail that not only utilizes the Stoli brand but pays homage to Key West.
This year’s first place winner was Rocky Collins of the Roundup in Dallas. His Stoli concoction, the "Key West Kitty Kat" uses Stoli Vanil and Key West key lime juice to create a refreshing summer drink.
“At the beginning, I wanted to create a light fruity drink with a kick that screamed fun based on my personality, Stoli, and the culture in Key West," Collins said. "I named the drink with a Key West legend in mind, Ernest Hemingway, who had six toe polydactyl cats.”
If you find yourself in Dallas, stop by the Roundup and ask Rocky Collins for a taste of Key West. Or make your own Key West Kitty Kat from home.
