Memorial Day Weekend marks the debut of REVUE presented by Duane Wells’ LivingWells Lifestyle Events at the Graton Resort & Casino in Sonoma County, Calif. This cabaret/comedy/light theatrical show bows for two raucous nights (Saturday, May 23 and Sunday, May 24) with a stellar line-up of talent that includes Candis Cayne, Levi Kreis, Joey Arias, Jackie Beat, Lady Bunny, Jimmy James, Ryan Raftery, Elaine Gibbs, Jacob Lusk and more.
Before she heads off to wine country for this Broadway-meets Wigstock-extravaganza, we caught up with one of the stars of REVUE, actress and nightclub icon Candis Cayne for a round of our ten questions:
1. Where did you take your last trip?
For, my last trip i went to Maui, to my family home there, and stayed ten days with two of my best friends. It was amazing!
2. What part of the trip was the highlight?
Little Beach (my home away from home). Late nights during pilot season filming audition tapes on the lanai. And driving to Hana for three days and staying at the beautiful Travaasa hotel.
3. What part of traveling do you find to be the biggest drag?
Jet lag. Ugh!
You broke some barriers when you played Carmelita on ABC's Dirty, Sexy, Money. Where is the….
4. Dirtiest place you’ve traveled to?
Rome
5. Sexiest place?
Rome (laughs)
6. Place you spent the most money?
I love a good travel shop anywhere, but I’d have to say London
7. Like you, I spent my formative years in the 1990s NYC club scene. Which 1990s NYC nightclub do you wish you could revisit for one legendary night?
Wow! That’s a tough question. There were so many good nights. I’d have to say Boy Bar, and USA, oh and Life, and SUGARBABIES!!!!! Shoot! I can’t choose just one.
8. Which of your REVUE co-stars would you want on a Thelma & Louise-type road trip?
Oh, Jackie Beat
9. Two hours after the REVUE curtain call, we’d most likely find you…in the casino, in the cocktail lounge, in bed?
