App Update: Gay Travel Alerts
It's SCRUFF's fifth anniversary of helping hirsute hotties find each other worldwide. Another, perhaps lesser-known function of the social app is its Gay Travel Alerts, which launched in May, that notify members of local laws against homosexual acts as well as possible repercussions. The alerts are based on travel advisories created by the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association (ILGA.org) with additional salient details gathered by SCRUFF.
"We want to give our users the information they need to keep them safe," explains Eric Silverberg, one of the app's founders. "We also hope to help shine a spotlight on some of these local laws and let as many people as possible know they exist."
