The Dinah Shore Weekend has been called the mother of all women’s circuit events, with thousands of lesbians descending on Palm Springs for five days (March 25–29, 2004) surrounding the Ladies Professional Golf Association tournament. Though the shindig is ostensibly about golf, most of the women who occupy poolside chairs in town are less interested in putting than in partying.

The Sierra Stampede (in Sierra Vista, Ariz.), the biggest all-women professional rodeo, isn’t billed as a lesbian event but, well, our bet is for a good showing of sisters—participants and spectators.
