The exhibit now in Los Angeles provides a portal into the brilliant mind of the legendary bisexual artist.
Immersive Frida Kahlo brings one of North America’s greatest bisexual artists to life in a stunning and mesmerizing new experience at the Lighthouse Artspace in Los Angeles. From the same team behind the groundbreaking hit Immersive Van Gogh, the exhibit celebrates Kahlo’s art, and life, in a thoroughly modern way, giving fans the feeling as if they’re inside her paintings, or even her mind. While sitting or standing inside the rooms, one feels like they’re journeying through Kahlo’s paintings and personal history as images are projected onto the walls and beautifully animated to bring them even more to life.
The 41-minute experience includes many well-known works by Kahlo, including “The Two Fridas,” “Wounded Deer,” and “Self Portrait on the Borderline Between Mexico & the United States.” Producer Massimilliano Siccardi has created kinetic frescoes that weave together her art, works from her partner Diego Rivera, and photos of Kahlo, and the people and places important to her.
Stay for more than one run-through, as the room brims over with things to see and you may notice new details and themes the next time around. Immersive Frida Kahlo is the perfect date night experience for art lovers. The exhibit is also open in Dallas, Boston, Houston, Chicago, Denver, San Francisco, and Toronto, Canada.
