Pride Season is not done yet: Palm Springs, Calif. is hosting their 28th annual Pride event in November and just named transgender muse and model Amanda Lepore as grand marshal of the parade.
The New Jersey native will perform at the Pride event's block party, which happens November 8 in downtown Palm Springs (the parade occurs the following day). Officials touted Lepore's history as a transgender nightlife icon in New York City. Her notoriety began in the early '90s, when she captured the attention of everyone from photographer David LaChapelle to fashion designer Patricia Field. She's since worked as a model for various fashion campaigns, released dance tracks, and debuted a cosmetics line and even a doll created in her likeness.
Other performers booked for P.S. Pride, which kicks-off November 7, include Frankmusik and The Psychedelic Furs. Find out more here.
