New Orleans' Newest Shopping and Dining Mecca
A half-mile long retail, dining, and entertainment center, the The Outlet Collection at Riverwalk sits right along the waterfront of the Mississippi River in New Orleans. Formerly known as Riverwalk MarketPlace, the center was renovated early this summer to a great fanfare in the heart of downtown New Orleans. Right next to the New Orleans Morial Convention Center and Audubon Aquarium of the Americas, the Riverwalk is worth a stop if you're in the Crescent City.
In the middle of over 75 outlet stores like Coach, Kenneth Cole, and Lucky is a beautiful dining area situated on an outdoor terrace with windows overlooking the river. Although it operates like a traditional food court, Riverwalk's Bon Fete dining area features options like an upscale coffee bar and a formal sit-down restaurant; there are also outposts of local favorites like NOLA Tropical Winery and the world-famous Cafe du Monde. Make sure to sample Cafe du Monde's classic sugary beignets while listening to local jazz music.
The Outlet Collection at Riverwalk is located at 500 Port of New Orleans Place; it's accessible via the streetcar system's Poydras Street stop.
