Spotlight on Mexico City: Lalo!
After Maximo Bistrot’s success, renowned chef Eduardo García and his wife, Gabriela López Cruz welcomes their guests to their latest culinary venture in Roma neighborhood. The place, named after him (Lalo is the nickname for Eduardo in Mexico), is one of the best spots for brunch- you must try their chilaquiles, Croque-Madame or French toasts.
Part of the charm at Lalo! is the wooden long table designed to be shared by everyone. The open kitchen and colorful cartoonlike graffiti on the wall made by Belgian artist David Rop create a cozy and upbeat atmosphere. Although the breakfast is the restaurant’s forte, you can find fresh salads, pizzas and pastas, as well as artisanal beers on the lunch menu.
