Spotlight on Mexico City: Casa Virginia
Chef Mónica Patiño and Micaela Miguel — a mother and daughter duo — are an unstoppable team in Mexico City’s culinary world. Their latest project together, Casa Virginia is yet another standout hot spot in trendy Roma neighborhood.
Right from the start as you pass the open kitchen into the stairs that lead to the restaurant, you’ll get a first whiff of the “homemade” surprises to come. With the concept of making every guest feel at home, everything on the menu is designed to be shared and served to the center of the table. The “tostadas” with avocado, apple and radish are not to be missed.
The decoration is a reminiscence of a traditional Mexican household. Linen table cloths, and a '50s white and black mosaic floor, complete the restaurant’s homey atmosphere.
