Up-and-coming U.K. pop act Years & Years and beloved singer-songwriter Mika will be joining Kylie Minogue at this year’s Barclaycard's British Summer Time Hyde Park festival.
The concert series — which runs concurrently, though independently, with London Pride — will feature a great many LGBT acts as well as a smattering of some of our favorite Divas.
Years & Years' gay frontman Olly Alexander officially came out last month (although he says he's never been secretive about his sexuality), stating in an interview:
"I’ve done a few interviews and been like 'I’m gay and I’m singing about my boyfriends.' I guess for a lot of people you need to say something before they’re really accepting of it... There are a lot of gay artists with a lot of young female fans who love them just as much after they’ve come out."
The band will be joined by openly gay Mika as well as Bright Light Bright Light (a.k.a. Rod Thomas), the man behind this year’s World AIDS day song.
Grace Jones, Kylie, Foxes, Ellie Goulding, and Taylor Swift are some big names to make the line up.
