Chicago's Boystown Gets a New Party Palace

Chloe's, a nightclub dedicated to '80s club culture, opens just in time for Pride.

Chloe's, the newest entry in Boystown nightlife, opened Thursday night in a 5,000 square foot location the city's legendary Spin club occupied.

Promoters are emphasizing the new club's state-of-the-art lighting and sound system, featuring a LED dropped 3D tube system with 180 lit tubes. If guests need a break from the stimuli of the dance floor, the upstairs lounge provides an oasis, with an intimate bar, dark leather couches, two fireplaces, and muted sound system. Jason Zilberbrand created the nightclub to remind Boystown of Chicago nightlife 30 years ago. The aesthetic is also inspired by Zilberbrand’s travels to the Chelsea and Bowery neighborhoods of New York.

“We want our guests to have the best dance experience in the city at Chloe’s," Zilberbrand said in a statement. "Ultimately, we just want people to have an incredible time."

Guests can expect to dance to a mix of future-house beats mixed with new-disco music at the control of Chicago’s CrossFader Kings, a DJ duo that head up a Windy City record label. And right next door is Whiskey Trust, a new whisky and tapas restaurant.

Chloe’s is located at 3208 N. Halsted and is open Thursday to Sunday from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m.Click here for more places to party during Chicago Pride.
