Aspen Gay Ski Week just wrapped its 47th event and welcomed 3,000 queer skiers and snowboarders to the slopes. AGSW, the nation’s largest and oldest gay ski event, also serves as a giant fundraiser for Aspen OUT and benefits local and national LGBTQ+ organizations.
“AGSW is much more than a party and unique among gay ski weeks around the world, because it’s a fundraiser,” Kevin McManamon, Executive Director of AspenOUT, said in a statement. “It’s funded countless LGBTQ+ organizations and now, we’ve created a leadership program to make even a greater difference in the lives of area youth.”
OK, but about those parties... for some, they are the best part of AGSW. Roaring fires, cold drinks, and plenty of flirting is a great way to close out a day of swooshing; there are also film screenings, panels, and discussions on issues of interest to the community. Take a gander at pics below from 2023's AGSW and check back soon for images from this year's event.
AGSW is sponsored by JPMorgan Chase. Find out more about the event here.
