Opening on May 19 and on view through October 28, 2018, "Georgia O'Keeffe: Visions of Hawai‘i" will offer a rare focus on O’Keeffe’s paintings created in the Hawaiian Islands while on commission in 1939. Twenty of the iconic artist’s depictions of Hawai‘i on display in the LuEsther T. Mertz Library’s Art Gallery at the New York Botanical Gardens that will include works reunited for the first time in New York since their 1940 debut.
In the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory, a lush flower show will evoke the gardens and landscapes that inspired O’Keeffe and showcase the breathtaking flora of the Islands.
