"It was a message from the heart, and I know it matched what some Americans won't/can't say easily."
During Austin Pride's Werk Fashion Show, "Project Runway" alum Rey Ortiz debuted one of his designs that sports a pretty direct political statement.
The black, floor-length dress features a golden "F*** Trump" on the front.
The model wearing the dress flawlessly strutted down the runway before giving the crowd a strong pair of middle fingers to really drive the point home.
This isn't the first time Ortiz has used his art to make a statement against Trump. Lance Bass, host of the upcoming show Finding Prince Charming, won best dressed at the VMAs this year wearing the designer's "Love Trumps Hate" jacket.
In an interview with FOP, Ortiz talks about his inspiration for the now viral dress.
"The F*** TRUMP dress was born by my desire to put in my two cents. We need to use every last resource to keep people like him away from our society's future," the designer says. "It was a message from the heart and I know it matched what some Americans won't/can't say easily. So yeah, F*** ALL THINGS TRUMP. He is a mess!"
Political statement or not, this dress is freakin' amazing. And we are all here for it.
