Rodeo Clown Goes on Anti-Trans Rant at Michigan County Fair

It’s a sad fact that some people will use any public platform they can, no matter how small and inappropriate, to propagate ignorance and hate.

During a recent event booking at the Calhoun County Fair in Michigan, rodeo clown Rockin’ Robbie Hodges went on an anti-trans rant to an audience of children, saying:

“You’re either a boy or a girl, y’all understand? If you’re confused you need help. Here at the rodeo we are not gender-friendly. Everybody in here who’s really sure they’re a boy raise your hand. If you can tinkle on a fire you go to the boys’ room, if you can’t, you go to the girls’ room, right?”

An appalled mother recorded the tirade and sent it in to a local Fox News affiliate, offended by the inappropriateness of the message in a family setting. While Hodges’ position as a professional rodeo clown makes him an expert in literal bullshit, he should rethink his audience and stage before getting political. Watch the Fox News segment below.
