The Backstreet Boys Are Doing a Test Run for a Vegas Residency

Backstreet’s back! Maybe.

The Las Vegas strip should be renamed Nostalgia Lane. Rumors about a Backstreet Boys Las Vegas show have been swirling around the boy band (man band?) for some time but Nick Carter recently confirmed to ET that it’s a sure thing.

At the premiere of his SyFy movie, Dead7, Nick Carter said that he and the rest of the iconic group just signed a contract for a nine-show “test run” in Vegas. Bandmate Kevin Richardson was at the premiere to support Carter and guessed that the shows would take place toward the end of this year or in the beginning of next year but said that new music and a world tour would precede the residency.

Next month will mark the 20th anniversary of the Backstreet Boys self-titled debut album, which should make anyone reading this feel sufficiently old.
