In a partnership with the LGBT human rights organization OutRight Action International, artists Amir Soltani and Khalil Bendib created a graphic novel series titled “Yousef and Farhad” in order to offer a glimpse of what it’s like to be gay in Iran.
The story follows the lives of Yousef and Farhad, two gay men who are in love with each other in a society where homosexuality is criminalized. The graphic novel covers themes of coming out, rejection, harassment, violence, and other challenges that face LGBT members.
