The Haunted Castle House, Brumley, Missouri - This 169-year-old Victorian castle-style house (photo at top), considered to be one of the most haunted homes in the Midwest, had previously functioned as both a hospital and a funeral home. Besides paranormal activity, the building also features black walnut floors, a two-story turret and a pair of cemetaries out back.

^ The Parkes-Bowman Mansion Haunted Bedroom, New Orleans, Louisiana - Although there are three rooms available to rent in this lovely Garden District home, you will want to stay in the charmingly sweet bedroom up on the third floor. Hopefully you won't mind having a roommate: A young girl in a yellow dress from the 1890s has been known to occasionally make an appearance.
