Which U.S. City Did Travel+Leisure Name the Best for Gay Travelers?
Travel+Leisure revealed the results of their eighth "America's Favorite Cities" poll, which included one category specific to gay travel.
According to the 50,000 people who voted in the poll — which included 38 cities — Minneapolis/St. Paul is the best place for a gay-friendly vacation. The land of Mary and Rhoda beat out Providence, San Francisco, New Orleans, and Atlanta, which rounded out the top four, respectively.
The remaining poll saw Providence — yes, the capital of Rhode Island — being named America's favorite city (Houston, Kansas City, Minneapolis/St. Paul, and Los Angeles rounded out the top four). Providence also made the top five of categories including art scene, galleries, theater, and architecture. Wow, who knew?
