Micky's in West Hollywood has long been celebrated for its drag shows, which has featured some of the world's most fabulous performers (including Lady Gaga!). Last Thursday, a bevy of gender-bending stars returned to the stage for The Drag Pageant to vye for the crown of Miss SoCo Queen and a $500 prize, among them Misty Violet, Virginia X, Holly Wood, Hummingbird Meadows, Cake Moss, Missy Vee, Salina EsTitties, Melissa Brown, and Casey Cassinelli.
Hosted by YouTube personalities Jessica and Hunter and sponsored by Southern Comfort, the competition was judged by local celebrities like Jonny McGovern (Hey Qween) and Tony Moore (Showgirls), who evaluated the drag performers on their outfits, performances, and crowd engagement. It was a tough competition, which featured everything from Beyonce realness to Old Hollywood glamour. But ultimately, Hummingbird Meadows took home the SoCo for renditions of musical hits that electrified the audience.
