There’s no place like Aspen for a winter retreat. Gay Ski Week recently celebrated its 40th year, attracting over 4,000 attendees from around the world.
But the mountain city is ready to reclaim summer as well. This August marks the inaugural Aspen Summer Holiday. In collaboration with Men’s Vows, Aspen Chamber Resort Association is launching the four-day festival to parlay the resort town’s winter success into a new season.
The weekend will provide a Rocky Mountain experience for outdoors lovers with guided hikes, mountain biking, cycling, river rafting, and horseback riding. In addition to gallery walks and dine-arounds in downtown Aspen, sponsored parties, fundraisers, and poolside tea dances will also take place. A Friday night fashion show will feature the work of internationally known designers and global haute couture brands.
The event is a fundraiser for the National LGBTQ Task Force. The grand opening event also benefits One Colorado, and a couples mixer and singles speed-dating event will benefit The Generations Project.
