Making Your Dollars Go the Distance

I would like to know what are some of the best international destinations where Americans can get the most for their dollar. I want to live like a king and not have to get a second mortgage to do it. With a weak U.S. dollar and high fuel costs travel is getting tricky. I would also like to know gay-friendly places to take my kids who are 8 and 10. They too like to live it up.
If you want your dollars go the distance, I'd suggest setting your sights on Cambodia, Vietnam, or Argentina.

Despite it being a decade since the financial collapse, Buenos Aires prices still haven’t soared back up to their previous highs, and bargain accommodations and meals can be found throughout the thrilling city.

The costs of vacations to Cambodia and Vietnam are largely in getting there. Once you've trotted off the tarmac you'll be amazed at how little things cost. Prices drop even lower if you head a little off the beaten path (although this isn't recommended in Cambodia where land mines still litter many sites). Consider putting UNESCO-designated World Heritage Site Hoi An in Vietnam on your itinerary and get an entire new wardrobe whipped up by talented local tailors and feast like a king on street food. You can also stretch that dollar in fascinating Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.
